My reflection

I want to say about "irrelevance" that in the paper professoer gave us about two weeks ago.
These days,  I'm teaching public elementary school first and second grade students.
In the class, I try to prepare very hard and try to communicate with my SS.
But, ^^; , second grade ss are usually can't focus on my class.
My class has a once a week, and my co-teacher and me start from greeting with question
"What dd you do last weekend?"  then Ss really want to say about what they were doing.
I 've never seen before Ss's great participation.
After I prepared a storytelling "Cinderella dressed in Yellow" from Learn to read.
I made many vocabulary with picture considering tactile ability , even I was woring a Yellow
dress ,and crown for kids interesting. and I made a chant with drum. I recorded that chant.
I tried to do my storytelling at my best. But They are really hard to focus and particepate my lesson.
So, I wonder about my lesson. Is there any problem in my lesson.
They are really enjoy just one question " What did you do last weekend?"
and they wanna say in English, and learn English.
From last class's paper, I realize that isn't it relevance issue?
YL is really egocentric, so they really try to express themselves to the ss.
I think "Communicate" is really inportant even YL.

Seoul bans fur in Fendi fashion show

SEOUL, May 16, 2011 (AFP) - South Korea's capital city has told Italian fashion house Fendi to remove all fur items from a show of its fall/winter collection due to complaints from animal rights groups, officials said Monday.

"We have received complaints from animal rights activists and saw negative public opinion on the Internet... we can't let such a controversial thing be staged at a public property," a spokesman for the city government told AFP.

Fendi has scheduled the show on June 2 at a newly-built floating island on the Han River, which the city wants to promote as a landmark.

The Italian firm said city officials last week threatened to cancel the event unless all fur items were removed from the catwalk.

Fendi described the short notice as "difficult to understand... in light of the months of preparation and cooperation" leading up to the event.

"I'm surprised to learn of Seoul city's decision to possibly cancel the event if Fendi does not remove all fur pieces just two weeks before the event,"

Fendi CEO Michael Burke said in a statement Sunday night.

The company, however, said it would continue to negotiate with city officials in the hope of holding the show as planned.

City officials said negotiations were still under way to hold the show, at which Fendi planned to present 40 pieces from its fall/winter collection including 20 fur items.

"This is the first time for us to hold a fashion show on city property so we knew little about how things like this work," a Seoul city official told AFP on condition of anonymity.

"The show has not been cancelled yet... we are still working on it."

Fendi said more than 1,200 guests including foreign and Korean celebrities, global media and cultural and fashion leaders were scheduled to attend.

Lesson plan

level: elementary high beginner 1 ~2
Lesson information: early age ss think about looks very sensitive.
so Ss can hurt each other never deliberatly. They don't recognize about
other people's thinking and mind because they're really egocentric, so
T can give the ant and bee model that look ugly but they have benefit, too the ss.
Ss can think about first impression of the things and people, But first impression is not all of them, Ss can realize looks is the part of them. Though bugs are really tiny and look petty, they can using for people, or they try to live hardly. If teacher have any idea about this lesson, T can adapt about any thing that disable people, poor people, ugly friends, etc. T can teach Ss We have to respect to all things in the world.
Lesson goal: Ss can consider about things, animals, people in the world in various way with Do, and wh question and answer. Using various material like bug model, ppt, and video clips, S can increase their interest about lesson.

Using materials: Giant ant model, Giant bee model, video clips, ppt






Lesson time 40 minutes.

language focus: voca-the name of bugs( ants, bee, butterfly, grasshoper, dragonfly, beetle), Do question and answer, Wh question ( Why) and answer,
Procedure
1) T can explicit Ss background about bugs.
2) Show the Ss Giant ants and bee model.
and talk about ant and bee with ss and t.
Ss can tell about their feeling of the bugs.
3) S can touch the all of the bug models. and share about feelings each other.
4) If girls don't like it or boy want to play it, T can ask about
" Why you don't like this?"
5) Show the picture of ant's collaborate, bee's get the honet in to the beehives.
6) S can talk their partner about the picture.
7) Show the video clips " Ugly duckling"

8) S can think about most ugly thing in their thinking and draw it on their skatch book and & think about good thing about it.
